[ Guidelines ]

Presentation

:· Barcelona Spanish follows the guidelines of the Council of Europe. At the end of each level (40 hours of study in small groups no more than 9 students or one-to-one classes) the student will be able to:

LEVEL	SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Beginners A1	Understand and use everyday expressions and sentences. Introduce him/herself and others. Ask and give personal information Interact in a conversation when the other speaker is clear and slow. Express ideas in Present Tense.
Basic A2	Understand and use more relevant everyday expressions and sentences. Exchange information in familiar and professional situations. Express ideas in Present, Past and Future Tenses.
Intermediate B1	Understand and use expressions and sentences in a familiar and professional environment. Understand and deal with many of the situations may arise in a Spanish speaking country. Give spoken or written information about subjects of interest. Describe experiences, give explanations and opinions and explain plans with Subjunctive.
Upper Intermediate B2	Understand technical and abstract matters. Interact quite fluently and naturally with native speakers Talk about various matters and explain different points of view.
Advanced C1	Understand almost all the messages he/she's exposed to and understand their implicit meanings. Interact fluently, naturally and without much hesitation with native speakers. Can use the language and interact in professional, academic and everyday situations.
Proeficiency C2	Easily understand any heard or read message he/she's exposed to. Can summarise information, understand and explain different points of view. Can be spontaneous, fluent and precise. Can understand implicit meanings even in more complex situations.

:· All our courses are based on a Communicative and Practical Method. According to the Council of Europe, we will teach you the Four Basic Skills -Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking- focusing on developing your own communicative skills.
